Long Time Coming

So sorry!  I have not updated this blog in a LONG time.  That's totally my fault!  Who knew I'd be so busy with a toddler running around?!?

Anyway, our class is in the midst of an awesome study about the Ten Commandments.  We would LOVE for you to join us on Sunday mornings!  We are in a new room in the old nursery nook.

What If His People Prayed

In Sunday School we are doing the study "When God's People Pray" by Jim Cymbala.  This morning was a great testimony to the power of prayer.  It reminded me of this Casting Crowns song:

"What If His People Prayed"

What if the armies of the Lord
Picked up and dusted off their swords
Vowed to set the captives free
And not let Satan have one more

What if the church for heaven's sake
Finally stepped up to the plate
Took and stand upon God's promise
And stormed hell's rusty gates

What if His people prayed
And those who bear His name
Would humbly seek His face
And turn from their own way

And what would happen if we prayed
For those raised up to lead the way
Then maybe kids in school could pray
And unborn children see light of day

What if the life that we pursue
Came from a hunger for the truth
What if the family turned to Jesus
Stopped asking Oprah what to do

What if His people prayed
And those who bear His name
Would humbly seek His face
And turn from their own way

He said that they would hear
His promise has been made
He’s answered loud and clear, Yeah
If only we would pray

If My people called by My name
If they'll humble themselves and pray
If My people called by My name
If they'll humble themselves and pray

What if His people prayed
And those who bear His name
Would humbly seek His face, Yeah
And turn from their own way

He said that they would hear
His promise has been made
He’s answered loud and clear, Yeah
If only we would pray

What if His people prayed

It's an upbeat song, and I'm sure most of you have heard it before.  But what a powerful message!

Imagine Infinitely More...

Our Imagine 320 campaign is in full swing!  I know most of us were there on Thursday, and what a WONDERFUL worship experience that was!  Addison Road was amazing and we heard John Bisagno bring it as he challenged us to put our faith in God that we would be given even more than we gave to begin with.

If you weren't there Friday night, it was amazing as well!  We heard story after story about God's faithfulness.

Pray, pray, pray with your spouse to see where God is leading your family and what He wants you to give!  Maybe he will tell you to "add another zero" as he has done so many others before you.  You won't believe what you will be given back!

Mommy & Me

We had a fun time at the Mommy and Me Christmas party this morning!  All of the kiddos were dressed in their cutest Christmas pajamas (and some of the mommies too!).  We had some good food, made cute crafts, and listened to the Christmas story (complete with Noah and an ambulance--haha).  Here are some pictures!
